Our room at Snug was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We had a pleasant stay. Will go back again.
This is late and overdue—we were there in July ‘21. The crew here were great. We made reservations in advance and it was without question. We got help on the dock when we arrived which was supper. The office staff are helpful and friendly. Lorraine, Dawn, Colleen ( who is sooo funny ) Ice for a small cooler- no problem Fish cleaning tables, with hoses too. Plenty of power for the boat on the dock too. Even the pool was great, crystal clear and not crowded. ( even my wife loved this place!!) Ya..know happy wife…..
I am updating my review. 2021: 5 stars. Updated rooms. Clean. Only one bug. 15min walk to Gosman's dock. 5min drive to town and ocean beach. One of the most reasonable motels in Montauk. Great deal. 2019: 1 star. Pretty bad. Cheapest motel in Montauk for a reason. Ancient. Dirty. Bugs in room.
I stayed here instead of the Montauk Yacht Club for a friends wedding (that was at the yacht club). The room was ridiculously cheap already, and since no one had booked the nicer rooms, they gave me one of those for the same price. It had two beds and a kitchen, with a terrace overlooking the harbor. Nothing too state of the art, and the decor is a little dated. However, that didn't bother me at all because it was all immaculate in terms of cleanliness and, to be honest, a newer looking hotel room would have seemed out of place. This motel has a really laid back Montauk feel. Two dogs hanging out in the gravel parking lot, boats rocking back and forth in the marina behind it, an actual sea breeze, the works. The older woman in the check-in office was a real sweetheart, made me feel right at home and made me smile as well. Totally comfortable experience. I would definitely go back. I did stay in mid-April though, so I am not sure if the prices go up in the summer.
Very clean, friendly - especially if you are a regular guest:), old school, great team! Rooms do vary, and paying extra for a view is recommended.
This is a reasonably priced efficiency apartment, close to the ocean or Gin Beach (they provide a pass for parking at Gin). The staff and cleaning crew are helpful, polite and friendly. We have been coming here for quite a few years and hope to continue. BTW, they have a pool and kiddie playground and outdoor cooking.
This place is tucked in the marina and super clean and comfortable. The staff, Dawn, Carol and Calene <-(probably spelling her name wrong) are welcoming and wonderful. Thank you snuggers
Great spot to stay if you are fishing or staying for the week or weekend. Rooms have a stove and sink and have never had a problem getting a dock slip. Very comfortable place. Not fancy at all.
